First Windows 'Mango' Phone Unveiled | PCWorld. As the new Microsoft Mango phones, sporting Windows Phone 7, are introduced in Japan, it is fair to ask the question: "Who comes up with these names?" I guess Android's different flavors for its Operating System was something Microsoft sought to replicate. Hey, if I knew anything about marketing, would I be spending time writing a blog? Actually, while Microsoft is not in danger of taking over the smartphone market, the blogosphere is actually somewhat positive about Microsoft's new OS. The company has apparently given up trying to create a "little" Windows, and is instead shaping the software to the device. It is probably too late, however, unless Apple is successful in putting Android out of business with its patent litigation. It is more likely that consumers will win, as the big three of computing will be fighting each other to put more features into the devices. I will at least go to the store and play with one. How about you? Note: About the photo. Apparently, marketing has something to do with putting tech devices in the hands of beautiful young women, and then photographing them. Works for me.
LOL! So true
