PressDisplay.com - Newspapers From Around the World. Hey, I get it. Our society is becoming tweetified, facebookized, Google plussed, and Internet savvy. We tweet, post and storify our news, both personal and social and political, in an effort to keep up with our fast paced world. As lawyers, we get to use ever increasing quantities of data and material to make sense of the conflicts of our clients, and to persuade the judicial decision makers. But, there is still a place in the FutureLawyer universe for a sane, in depth, reasoned discussion of what happened in the world yesterday. After the passion dies down, after the interviews with the participants, there is still a place for intelligent people (are they still called journalists?) to lay out the story, in detail. I am not talking about somebody who creates a story with a tool like Storify. I am talking about old-fashioned, edited reporting. That is why I still read newspapers. That is why they must survive. You can use the modern tools to read them - I use PressReader, and read them on a computer or tablet. But, save a tree, and still read them. Our children's children will thank you.
