Coffee is number one source of antioxidants. My name is Rick, and I am a Coffee Addict. I drink more than 8 cups of caffeinated coffee a day. And, for the next person who tells me that is too much, I offer this cautionary tale: 1. Coffee is the number one source of antioxidants in the diet. 2. Coffee has been linked to protection against heart disease and cancer. 3. Coffee keeps you alert and awake. 4. Coffee has been linked to protection against liver and colon cancer. 5. Coffee has been linked to protection against type 2 diabetes, and Parkinson't disease. The side effects? It can make you jittery and cause stomach pain. Luckily, it does neither for me. The Chemistry Professor who led this study cautions moderation, like two cups a day. Bah, humbug. Now, please stop telling me to cut back on the coffee.
