In my opinion it is only a question of time when all of these what if's become the norm. Yes it will be fought tooth and nail by colleges & law schools, but they will be unsuccessful in the end.

You can attend classes at University of Miami for their LLM program as of last year with some physical presence required but the majority the work can be done through the Internet. I believe that they joined Harvard and some the other more prestigious schools to offer online programs now and it's all a matter time before they'll reduce the tuition to not much so that will this dream will become a reality very soon. I think it's called law school without walls at the University of Miami. For the right group of younger people this looks like the cost-efficient way of providing a world-class education.
