They Had Better Call It Moonbase Alpha!

Space: 1999 (TV Series 1975%u20131977) - IMDb. News that Russia and NASA have plans to colonize the Moon brought back memories of one of my favorite Seventies flights of fancy, Space 1999. The new millennium seemed so far away back then. However, putting humans on the Moon never seemed so real. Now, only a decade after the TV show predicted, we are starting to move in that direction. Just as one of the Space Shuttles acquired the "Enterprise" name, the movers and shakers had better name the first base on the moon - Moonbase Alpha. If they don't, I predict that an evil alien will come and get them.
