XPS 13, Dell's first ultrabook, released | Nanotech - The Circuits Blog - CNET News.
Okay, the Dell XPS 13 is a beautiful 3 pounds of computer, and rivals the sister MacBook Air for thinness and beauty. But, it only has a 128 Gig hard drive, an I5 processor and 4 gigs of RAM for $999. If you want an I7 and a 256 Gig SSD drive, you will have to pay $1499. And the MacBook Air, similarly configured as the low end Dell, is $1299. For an extra 2 pounds of weight, I got my Asus with 8 gigs of RAM, and a 750 Gig drive, and a Core I7 chip, AND a DVD Drive, for less than $700. Form or function? You pick.
