Galaxy Nexus owner says Microsoft cheating him out of a Windows Phone 'Smoked' win | Android Central. Remember the video I posted recently that showed Microsoft Windows phones challenging other phones to a speed contest for certain tasks? Windows phone won them all; primarily because it is designed to do certain things, like looking for restaurants and checking the weather, quickly. The ad campaign was fun, and it certainly has piqued interest in the coming Windows phone onslaught. However, my favorite phone, the Galaxy Nexus, and its Android Ice Cream Sandwich goodness, can be custom programmed to do some of the same things pretty quickly. One Nexus owner cried foul, when he beat the Windows phone by a split second by programming his phone to bypass the security screen. Alas, however, the Microsoft employees conducting the promotion decided that he didn't really win, because he didn't get weather from two different cities. Oh, well. We Galaxy Nexus owners are a competitive lot. And, we enjoy tricking out our OS.
