Easter - As American As A Holiday Gets

It has become a truly American holiday, and whatever your beliefs, or even if you don't have any, you can celebrate the day in your own way. Freedom really means the freedom to live your life as you see fit; not, as some overbearing Government tells you to. Even at our worst, the American way of life gives us that basic freedom. At its base, however, Easter is a retelling of history, and which history you believe is a matter of faith. It is a religious holiday, a secular holiday, was once a Pagan holiday, a focus for the struggle between Christian and Jew, and it has been the excuse for violence. Whichever religious tradition you follow, if any, let's hope that you have a safe, happy and blessed time this holiday. Whatever you celebrate, stay safe and be happy.
