How Physicists Beat Traffic Tickets - Lowering the Bar. So, a Doctor, a Lawyer, and a Physicist walk into a bar... Not really. But, the old jokes that make fun of the differences in the various professional disciplines can be instructive. This physicist allegedly beat a traffic ticket by using his skills to show that the police officer couldn't have seen him stop when he says he did. I would have acquitted the guy just so I didn't have to watch his testimony.
