Use Your Android Phone as a Wi-Fi Hotspot for Free. LifeHacker posts here some free software that permits the using of smart phones as WiFi Hotspots, without paying for tethering plans. However, since last month, Verizon Wireless now sells Share Everything Plans to all new customers and those old customers who want it. There are no more HotSpot fees. All phone and messaging minutes are unlimited. You buy a tier of data, (mine is 12 gigs for $110), and you can share it among up to 10 devices, and use any or all of them as WiFi hotspots with no fees and no restrictions. So, go legal and get a Share Everything Plan. I thought I used a lot more data than I actually do. I am only at 4 gigs more than half way through the month.
