Twitter Direct Message Hack Leads To Malware

Twitter direct message hack: Facebook YouTube video links lead to malware. Many Twitter accounts (including mine), have apparently fallen victim to a malicious hack that sends direct Twitter messages to your Twitter followers, and which contain misspellings, and refer to a video. When the recipient clicks, they are sent to Facebook, and, if they sign in, and click the link, will get a malware infection. Don't click on any Facebook videos sent through a friend's Twitter account. Be careful out there.

And, since I am posting this, it looks like post Apocalyptic Earth has Internet Access. The interpretation of the Mayan prophesies were wrong. Look at me. This is my shocked face. Oh well, I guess we have to go to work today after all. And, we can all look forward to the fiscal cliff. Now, that is what I call an Apocalypse.

Well, Best Buy has deals this coming weekend on all sorts of stuff, and you can get an S3 for under Fifty bucks. SWMBO loves the Galaxy S3 I passed on to her when I got the Note II. I paid $199 for it a year ago, and it is still one of the best smartphone purchases I have ever made. If your significant other isn't using Android Jelly Bean, this is a perfect opportunity to introduce them to the future. You have to get a two year contract; but, I promise, you will love this phone.

I Won't Be Buying A Windows Phone Yet

Why Doesn%u2019t My Windows Tablet Talk to My Windows Smartphone? | Pocketnow. I love the Android ecosystem. My Android tablet and Android phone are always communicating through the cloud, and I look at the same data on my Windows 8 Google apps. Why, then, would Microsoft make a tablet that doesn't run Windows software, except for Microsoft produced stuff? The Surface doesn't run my legacy Windows programs, so it is a non-starter. Now, I find out that the new Nokia Lumia 820 phones don't communicate with the Surface tablet either. Say what? It looks like my foray into Microsoft tablet and phone world will be delayed. 

Oops! Apple Pinch To Zoom Patent Declared Invalid By USPTO

Key %u2018Pinch-to-zoom%u2019 Apple patent used in Samsung trial deemed invalid in USPTO reexamination. While Apple can appeal the preliminary decision, the USPTO has declared the Apple pinch to zoom patent invalid as to all 21 claims made in the patent. Since pinch to zoom was a big part of Apple's case against Samsung, this had to be one of the reasons the Judge has denied injunctive relief to Apple, and it is a safe bet that the 915 patent invalidation will figure prominently in Samsung's appeal. The USPTO is also re-examining the "rubber banding" patent. Could it be that sanity is coming to the software patenting system? Nobody but Apple seems to be interested in stopping companies from innovating and competing in the computer industry. Now I don't have to feel guilty every time I use my index finger and my thumb to expand the text on my Android tablet. 

Instagram Respects Its Users?

The statement that Instagram respects its users and that it doesn't claim any ownership rights, and that they are just introducing an ad system to make money off of people's usage of the service. So let me get this straight. We respect your ownership of your photos; but, we are still going to use them to make money for ourselves. And, we will change the Terms of Service to permit that. My only question is: will they respect me in the morning?
