Sorry, but I can't resist. After dumping Tim Tebow, unceremoniously, on the New York Jets, where he sat for a whole season, while the Jets imploded, the Denver Broncos proceeded to lose their first playoff game with Peyton Manning at the helm. Mr. Manning is a great QB, maybe the best to ever play the game. His courage in coming back from usually career ending neck surgery is a marvel of modern medicine and courageous action. However, Tim Tebow has led the Broncos to more playoff victories than Mr. Manning. Why are football "experts" afraid of Mr. Tebow? What can explain the venom that spouts from the "I had a career as a journeyman running back" Merrill Hoge? Football is a "team" game. There is no more passionate "team" player in the league than Tim Tebow. I am reminded of the late John McKay, who, when asked, said "When I want to feel good, I think about Lee Roy Selmon". When I watched Mr. Selmon destroy offensive lines, I often wondered how such a nice, good man could do the amazing things he did. The late Mr. Selmon was another good man, who happened to be a great football player. These days, when I want to feel good, I think about Tim Tebow.
