Google Watch could launch by end of summer | Android and Me.
Google is working on a smart watch that will debut by the end of the summer...maybe. In any event, bluetooth connected watches are suddenly popular, and my Sony Smart Watch is on my wrist all day. It vibrates and beeps when I get an email, tells the time, acts as a remote trigger for my phone camera, connects to my GPS and shows me maps on my wrist, plays chess, and does all sorts of things. I have long since left my analog watches in the drawer, consigned to the dust bin of history. I have also sent $250 to Italian company I'MWatch, for a smart watch that has never been delivered. Oh well. It costs money to be on the leading edge. It shouldn't be a surprise that Google is leveraging its vast tech portfolio to create a device that computes on the wrist. It should serve as a useful companion device to the the Google Glass that is coming. Old geeks now have something to live for.
Sounds slightly overwhelming. And what are the benefits to your practice? :)
