This short video will tell you all you need to know the next time you are in the computer or big box store looking at modern TVs. If you still have a bulky Cathode Ray tube TV in your house, there is no sense talking to you, so you can stop reading now. Simply put, I have moved from LCD to LED in my home and office; but, my den still has a big, thick LCD that works just fine. Either option works fine. Pick the design and thickness you like, in a price range you can afford. You can't buy an OLED for home use yet; and you can't afford it anyway. As for Plasma, you can get one cheap these days; but, unless you have a dark room to watch it in, don't bother. There, now you know more than the salesman.
