Teens: Facebook is just, like, too much drama | Technically Incorrect - CNET News.
It was inevitable. As adults discover that they can connect with long lost high school friends on Facebook, and lawyers discover that they can mine Facebook for discovery in litigation, teens have discovered that there are better ways to communicate with each other without being followed around by their nosy parents. It was a foregone conclusion that, when parents started using Facebook, they would demand to be friended by their teens. And, most teens absolutely, positively do not want their parents to see everything they post. Of course, they can send private messages to each other; but, that limits the scope of their teen connections. So, what to do? Why, start using Twitter more, of course. And, find alternative social networks that parents haven't discovered yet. It's an old story. Facebook has become old hat. The good news is that your teens will grow up, and, when they need money, they will always find you on Facebook.
