Pico Projector Fits In Your Hand

Meet SK Telecom's tiny Smart Beam pico projector | Crave - CNET. I remember traveling the State of Florida in the early Nineties, lugging a refrigerator sized projector that weighed 75 pounds, and was on wheels. It still needed a darkened room; but, my co host Andy Adkins and I thought we were cutting edge. We were demonstrating a new thing called the Web, and showing lawyers and judges what an amazing legal research tool the Internet would be. We were right about that; but, flash forward and look at a palm sized pico projector that projects a better image (although a darkened room is still better) than the 75 pound behemoth we used to cart around. Oh, the one we used was so expensive we had to rent it for $175 a day. When they finally got around to selling smaller versions, they cost $7,000. This little guy goes for $300. I confess that I am surprised that more smart phones don't have pico tech built in. But, it does still add weight and size, and we all want to be rich and thin.
