Curiosity Gets Around Mars with Nuclear Powered Space Battery. It is cool that, after seven months of science experiments, Curiosity gets to take a summer vacation on Mars. At 90 feet per hour, it will be the longest road trip in history, taking 9 months to a year to get to the mountain range closest to it. However, the really cool thing is that the Rover is nuclear powered. That is right.
