Tiny Flying Robots - Weapons Or Data Gatherers?

Perhaps I am cynical; but, the proliferation of tiny robotic flying things, together with the development of larger, weaponized, drones, makes me very nervous. The tinier and more translucent these things become, the more they will be available for use for nefarious purposes. Even if too small for weapons, does anyone doubt that they can be used for spying? I love science, and I love gadgets. I hate the use of science for evil purposes. We must find a way to foster the growth of scientific knowledge and to prevent its use for evil.
