Remote Access and Remote Desktop Software for Your Computer | LogMeIn. The Internet is in a tizzy over LogMeIn's retirement of its free version of remote access software. I don't get it. First, most of us are accessing our data in the cloud these days, and remote access to a stand alone computer is just not something most of us do anymore. There are free alternatives still available; for instance, TeamViewer has a free one computer account for personal, non-commercial use. But, the real kicker here is that people are complaining about LogMeIn wanting to make a little money. You can buy a two computer license for LogMeIn for $49 a YEAR. Jeez. That price is fine even with the frugal FutureLawyer. I signed up for the two computer access for the times when I am traveling and leave my Windows tablet on so that I can access it with my Android tablet and my Note 3 SmartPhone. It is a pain to get to stuff on a tiny screen; but, I have used it to access a receipt when SWMBO is out shopping while we are traveling. She shops a lot. Come to think about it, I would probably spend less if I didn't have access to the tablet. Never mind. Don't spend $49 for remote access.
www.AeroAdmin.com offers a free version for both commercial and personal. Will run in the background. Does not need to install anything. Is an .exe file. I like it better than TeamViewer.

Tom, it looks like you can't access AeroAdmin from an Android tablet or phone. Is that right? If so, then I still like TeamViewer and LogMeIn Pro.
