Dropbox's new arbitration clause takes away your right to sue %u2014 so take it back! | Android Central. Okay, I admit the Timothy Leary reference is a bit opaque for a modern audience. But, as suspicious as I am of Dropbox and other commercial cloud data storage services, I am anxious that those of you who use it; especially, fellow lawyers who store confidential documents there, opt out of the Arbitration clause amendments to the user agreement. As lawyers know, the stick of a consumer class action is a much bigger stick than the use of arbitration panels. Arbitration, as an alternative method of dispute resolution, has its place. But, class action style consumer protection isn't one of them. If you use Dropbox, you have thirty days to opt out. Do it. Do it now.
