Before he died in 2007, Alex, another talking African Grey parrot, was the subject of a 37 year experiment, which not only proved the intelligence of this amazing species; but, showed that love and affection and caring by humans can have a nurturing effect on all creatures. It is said that Alex's last words, before he died in 2007 were directed at his handler: "Be good. I love you". This video purports to be Alex; but, the commenters identify him as Einstein. Whichever, the African Greys are the world's best mimics.
