Samsung's Massive Tablet Takes Aim at Desktops and Comes Up Short | Product Reviews | Wired.com. An Android Tablet with a 12 inch screen? I don't think so. If you want a big honking tablet to replace a notebook or desktop, it needs to run Windows 8 or Mac OSes. It would be nice if real productivity were possible with only web based applications; but, for lawyers anyway, that is a pipe dream. Microsoft has owned the software market for so many years that many of us are tied to it for life. I would be the first person to buy an Android tablet that could run my Windows productivity apps, without some virtual sandbox to put them in. But, alas, I am stuck with Windows 8.1 for now. The fact that I have it in a smaller tablet is a blessing. So, honk away, Samsung. Just hold the size down a little.
