Sony VAIO Tap 11 review: meet Sony's answer to the Surface Pro. While I love the Samsung SmartPC I have been using for a year, its Atom processor, 2 Gigs of RAM and small 64 Gig SSD drive, was really slowing me down. I have been looking at the Samsung 700t, which is the heavier, more loaded version of the 500t I have been using. It ups the RAM to 4 Gigs, which is pretty good for me, since I have a dozen apps and webpages open all the time. It also has a 128 Gig SSD drive, which is plenty of room for everything. However, I fell in love with the slim, light Sony Tap 11, which is far superior to the Microsoft Surface. It has 4 Gigs of RAM, a USB 3.0 port, (which screams speed), a real core processor, although I got the least powerful version (the Pentium), and a 128 Gig SSD drive. This thing is fast, light, and perfect for the mobile lawyer. I even got a $100 discount at Best Buy, so the total price was $699. Oh, I forgot, the keyboard is thin and light like the Surface; but, Sony throws it in, instead of charging $130 for it like Microsoft. I know, I buy computers like SWMBO buys shoes. But, hey, I have to do it. What would I blog about?
