Samsung Gear. I have spent a couple of weeks with the Gear 2 Neo now, and I have decided that it is an awesome addition to my tech arsenal. I love the ability to make and receive phone calls without taking out the smartphone, be it in my pocket, on my belt, in my briefcase, or in a docking cradle on my desk. The ability to glance at the watch while driving and say "Answer" or "Reject" with my voice is a real productivity tool. Texts, tweets, posts, and email notifications are great also. However, some of the coolest features of the watch are the least known. First, it is water resistant, and I don't have to worry about splashing water on it or dunking it in the sink or pool. Second, while you know I am not a fitness junkie, it is really great to have this thing automatically count my steps each day, and constantly monitor my heart rate. I actually find myself walking more to get my stats up. That is healthy, right? I also love the built in infrared remote that turns my watch into a TV remote. Just bring up the TV app, set it on your brand of TV and you have channel, volume and on off switches at your beck and call. At $199, the Neo is a bargain, and it is slim and light on the arm. Thanks, Samsung.
