7-inch Samsung phone lands in China as the Galaxy TabQ | Pocketnow. Samsung is really aiming at the Nexus 7 and the iPad Mini. The Galaxy W, which has landed in China, and will probably be in the States soon, is a big, honking 7 inch screen phone. I think you can stop calling these phablets now. This is a Tablet Phone, or TabPhone, and it will really look ridiculous if you hold it up to your ear. I have a Galaxy Note 3, with a huge 5.6 inch screen, and it has caused me to leave my Nexus 7 in the briefcase or at home most of the time. However, now that there are some tiny watch phones hitting the market, it is nice that the giants are being served. This is why I love the Android space. There are limitless choices, and everything depends on the consumer. Unlike a certain other company, whose focus seems to be on control by the mother ship, and a lack of choice. The W seems to be the next iteration of the Galaxy Mega, a 6 inch monster that never really caught on. Will a full 7 inch tablet replacement with a phone chip make a difference? It will be fun to find out.
