I am always getting questions about travel with a mobile computer. While my tablet two in one serves as the brain connected to many peripherals at home and at the office, the idea when traveling is to travel light, light, light. So, the tablet, at under two pounds, is the ideal traveling companion. I have the same apps, files, and so forth that I have at home; but, the keyboard is also the tablet cover, and a flat mouse from Microsoft is all I really need. I carry a MiFi device from Verizon to avoid public WiFi, which is notorious for being insecure. However, I have VPN software if I have to use public WiFi. Here is a photo of my travel work table. Less is better.
