LG TONE Not A Pain In The Neck

LG HBS730: LG TONE By LG. Unique In Shape. Ultimate In Sound | LG USA. I usually wear a Jabra Headset in my right ear when I am out and about. I can take calls on my wrist if I am driving; or, if I choose, just tap the button on my ear, and I have a monaural call. However, during the day, I wanted something that would give me stereo sound, and still allow me to take and make calls while working. Most headsets I have used in the past, sit on top of my head, or are bulky, or require over the ear speakers, all of which are really uncomfortable after a while. So, on a lark, when I saw the LG Tone + on sale at TigerDirect Saturday for $59, I tried them. I love them, and I now wear them all the time. The only thing anyone sees are the small buds in my ears; which, these days makes me the same as any millennial walking down the street. They are more comfortable than the Jabra, and I get full stereo sound. FutureLawyer recommended.

Apple Admits It's Storing Users' Data on Servers Based in China. I thought, at first, that this story was some kind of a hoax. The alleged quote from Apple was that they took user data security so seriously they were now going to store it on China Telecom. Say what? China Telecom, which is owned by the Chinese Government? China, home of some of the best hackers in the world, many of whom work for the Government? Apple says the data will be encrypted. Right. And there will be no Government interference. And, the tooth fairy is real. Jeez.

Parrot USA - civil drone, Jumping Sumo, Zik, Asteroid, Automotive OEM. The new Parrot mini-drones are available, and the names, like Jumping Sumo and Rolling Spider, sound like a bad Anime short from my son's collection. However, the miniturization of commercial drones creates a situation in which privacy advocates and municipalities will have their hands full to regulate them. My favorite astronomer, Jack Horkheimer, the StarGazer, used to end his segments with: "Keep Looking Up". Good advice; except, someday these things will be the size of a pack of cards or smaller. Hey, what's that buzzing sound overhead? Look, up in the sky! It's Insect Drone!

For lawyers or others who need public data statistics that are not readily available, Public Data Explorer mines the world of public data and information. Google Translate will give you the English equivalent of any work or phrase. You don't need a dictionary to assist with spelling anymore. Just tell Google the work, and a translation comes back instantly. There is more, and this doesn't even begin to cover the world of Google information. Are you connected?

Galaxy Note 4 - Note 3 On Steroids

Possible Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs leaked, QHD screen and all | Android and Me. The next iteration of my favorite phone will be out around September 3d. That's around two weeks away, and all Note fans will be excited to see it. Other than being the same size, form and configuration, everything here is happening under the hood. From the higher resolution screen to the quad core processor, this will be a geek fan's dream phone. Now I have to resist the temptation to buy this phone. Hey, life is short. Get a new phone now. Desert is fattening.

The Atari 800XL - FutureLawyer's First Real Computer

The Atari 800XL. For #TBT, I don't have photos of my childhood. I consider my first computers friends, and they opened my eyes to the productivity gains that could be brought to bear on the practice of law. The Atari 800 XL succeeded my first Atari, that was primarily a game machine; but, which did rudimentary word processing. The XL was a real computer, and, hooked up to a TV monitor and disk drive, allowed me to generate real correspondence and pleadings on my own. I later graduated to CP/M green screen all in one machines; but, I still loved my Atari.

Samsung mocks iPhone wall-huggers with Galaxy S5 airport ad campaign | Android Central. Samsung is not done with the wall-hugger ads. In fact, Samsung now has taken to placing stickers next to electrical outlets in ariports, and around charging stations that say: "The Samsung Galaxy S5 with ultra power saving mode, so you can be anywhere but here". The new line of Samsung phones outlasts iPhone battery life by a ton; and, you can still carry a couple of thin, light batteries that pop in the back of the phones. So, move away from the wall, iPhone users, and into the light.

Tockle This - Tockle That

Tockle Review | Android App | Playboard. I have no idea where the developer got the name for this Android Wear app; but, invented words work too. Tockle allows the user to control his phone from his wrist, with useful actions like turning on WiFi, and other system settings, and sending texts with a single top. Other apps allow a little menu of apps to pop up; but, they are difficult to read and use on the tiny screen. Where the app stands out, however, is the user's ability to set certain actions to occur upon time, battery, WiFi access, etc. Called action lists, the user can control the phone's response.
