Long time Bucs fans will recall that the last flirtation with a Samoan QB did not go well for him or the Bucs. I suspect that with a good defense, and a calm demeanor, this "Throwin' Samoan" will fare better than Jack Thompson. What do you think? I love his nice guy image. Those who say you have to be mean and nasty to succeed forget the great LeRoy Selmon.

This 3d Scanner is so cool that I had to show it to you; even though I haven't figured out a way to make it a legal tech tool yet. I suppose you could use it to scan an object and show it to a jury in 3D; but you could do that with a video camera. If you can think of anything, let me know. In the meantime, making 3D images of an actual object and then printing or viewing them is very cool.

All of these devices can exchange data with my tablet computer. In or out of the courtroom, the Internet and all of my contacts and colleagues are, and will be, connected with me in a functional way. As my favorite football coach, George Allen, used to say: "The Future is now".

Foldable Phones - We Have The Technology

Ahead of the curve: Samsung, LG and the bendable phone - CNET. While I will be seeing a lot of products at CES 2015 that will claim to be the "next big thing", it is possible that Samsung or LG will, by the end of next year, demonstrate consumer phones that will fold up or bend, and go from phone to tablet to notebook size, as the need arises. Will they be affordable enough, or light enough, or have enough profit for the manufacturers remains to be seen. I am looking forward to what Samsung has this year as well. All My Computers Are Tablets

Future-forward tablets: Looking toward 2015 - CNET. Some pundits claim that tablet computers are already on the way out. In fact, in our house, they are the vast majority of the computers around. I have more than several; although, I use a Windows tablet for work, and have a 10 inch premium tablet, the Samsung Tab S, for carrying around, and a 7 inch Nexus for real mobility. While the rest of the family still uses notebook computers, they each have tablets as well. I will be interested to see the new tablets at CES 2015 in Las Vegas next week, and will let you know what I find. Tab on.

You won't get the VR feel watching this demo; but, you will get the gist. The demo shows the marriage of head tracking and the use of VR hands to manipulate the user's environment. The ability to disassemble a skeleton in real time and virtual reality is amazing. Think of the educational possibilities. Think about virtual classrooms which seem real to the student. 3 Oculus Rift Apps That Prove Virtual Reality Goes Far Beyond Gaming - Bloomberg. Okay. I admit that I wanted the Gear VR for fun. However, since the Nineties, I have looked for ways that technology can enhance my legal profession, and, with the rise of the Internet, and wireless phones, and personal computers, I think that case has been made. Now, however, the technology exists (admittedly, in its infancy) that will allow immersion in a 360 degree representation of real places and things. Imagine taking a 360 degree camera to an accident scene or a crime scene. Parties and attorneys could use the video to literally walk the actual scene. Imagine a virtual library with actual shelves and being able to pull any book off the shelf and read it in 3 dimensions. The Gear VR uses the Galaxy Note 4 as the screen for the Oculus headset. Oculus will be selling a consumer version with optics included sometime soon. Check out Fidelity Investments stock app to get a small taste of where VR apps can go in the future. As the adopterr of a few "defective" and "unwanted" parrots, I am saddened by the people who abandoned this animal. However, I am heartened by those who give love to all of God's creatures. Defects and imperfections in our physical appearance can be a blessing, and can certainly be ameliorated. Those with defects in their souls face a harder path. Thanks for sharing.

These days, files and storage is in the cloud, meaning stored on a server farm somewhere else. Now that Google's document software has been interwoven into Google Drive, all of your files can be kept available to you for whatever action you need to take, wherever you have an Internet connection. You can designate what folders and files sync to Google Drive in the cloud.
