Tim Cook Says Apple Watch Ships In April | TechCrunch. It appears that Apple is finally going to ship the Apple Watch in April. Of course, Android watches have been here for several years now, and I wouldn't be without one or two on my wrists. Apple users are in for a treat if the Apple Watch is as functional as the Samsung Gear 2 Neo or the Gear S. But, we are still going to have to wait and see. The design is pretty much the same as the newer Android watches; but, the use of tiny little icons as the face seems pretty busy. Won't the watch have watch faces? Will it have a SIM chip and its own phone number, like the Gear S? Will it be able to handle calls with a built in mike and speaker? Wait and see.
