A SmartWatch The FutureLawyer Will Never Wear

This smartwatch doubles as a wearable wireless storage. I'm sorry;but, I don't get the point of the ReVault smartwatch. Its main feature is that it can store up to 128Gigs of data. Ok, but why not just carry around a micro USB card or a standard USB stick? Who needs wireless local storage on your wrist? My Galaxy Note 4 phone has a 128 Gig micro SD inside, and it stores just about everything I would ever need. It does convert into a keychain or a necklace; but, again, just get a USB stick and put it in your pocket, phone or briefcase.

Seriously, what possible reason could someone have for wanting a bluetooth speaker shaped to look like a drinking flask? I can see disguising a drinking flask to look like a bluetooth speaker. Maybe. Or am I missing something?

What We Have Here Is A Failure To Communicate

Weekend Project - New Android Apps

Fresh Meat: 10 new Android apps worth checking out | Android and Me. What to do? I catch a bad head cold just before the 3 day weekend. First weekend in a while that I have no plans. The Lightning play on home ice tonight in the Eastern Conference Finals; but, I am not up to going out, so it is TV time. I have been wanting to catch up on new Android and Android Wear apps and this looks like a fine time to do it. I am particularly interested in the Wear Mail Client for GMail.

I Hate Waiting For Updates

Google announces Android Wear 5.1.1 again, confirms which devices will get WiFi support. And, here we go again. The new update to Android Wear, which will give WiFi access to my Moto360 and to my Gear Live smartwatches, is re-announced, which means another few weeks of waiting. It is somewhat like coming down Christmas morning, and finding an Elf with a message: "Your presents will be here in a few weeks". "Enjoy your holiday". Jeez.

Goodbye Google Chrome - Hello Firefox

I still can't believe that my favorite web browser, Chrome, has become so buggy and slow that I actually thought it was an Internet provider problem. Pages took forever to load, the extensions created problems, and I felt as if I was trying to escape from quicksand when I tried to use Chrome at work and at home. Then, I had a Eureka moment, and remembered the free and open source Mozilla project, Firefox, that I used for a while some years ago. I have used it for a week, and the pages load in a flash, my Chrome bookmarks seamlessly transferred over, and, after a little customization, I am working in Firefox full time. Firefox, for me and mine, all the time, every time. Browse on.

All Samsung - All The Time

A new Samsung feature lets you easily transfer whatever you're doing to other Samsung devices | Business Insider. My three favorite computers are Samsung products: A 10.5 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablet, a Galaxy Note 4 SmartPhone, and a Gear S SmartWatch. This new Samsung app will allow whatever I am doing on one device to "flow" to the others seamlessly. While a lot of my work is done on my workhorse Windows 8.1 tablet computer, the other devices are with me most of the time, and I like the idea of adding to the sync features of Google apps with a pass along your work mode. If you are in the Samsung ecosystem, this is certainly worth trying out.

This came out of my love of technology, and the fact that, after all these years, the technology exists to permit the practice of law anywhere on the planet. This little Dutch designed camper expands to a large mobile space that is suitable for living, and I could easily put an office in here. Just call me the mobile FutureLawyer.

TrialNote - Trial Tablet App For Android

Android App Preview: TrialNote | The Droid Lawyer%u2122. I, too, got the "It's too difficult" message from the developers of TrialPad at TechShow last month. As an iPad only app, it is the only application I have envied iPad owners for. However, it now looks like the developer of Depose is going to create, with the help of the DroidLawyer, a Trial Notebook application for Android. While my use of a Windows tablet for all of my office activity means that I can use traditional Windows trial applications, I applaud the effort to bring a decent trial app to Android.
