Huawei (pronounced WA-WAY) is improving on current Android Wear watches with a display that removes the black band at the bottom of the watch, nice styling, and a full circle AMOLED display. While I am sticking with my Tizen Gear S until there is an Android Wear device with a phone chip, these look like very nice Android Wear devices. Now that Android Wear has become the standard OS, specs and design are the only things to distinguish the watches from one another. Tell me again that SmartWatches are a fad? I'll bet you grandfather thought horseless carriages were a fad too.
