Android 6.0 vs Android 5.1 Lollipop: What's New in Marshmallow. The increase in Google search speed in Android 6.0 on the Nexus 6 over Android 5.1 on the Galaxy Note 4 is amazing. Search results appear instantaneously, and with Google's renowned accuracy. I am really loving getting to know Marshmallow, formerly known as Android M, and now known as Android 6.0. Not having Verizon set up bottlenecks to new iterations of the OS is a dream come true. With 64 gb on onboard storage, and most of my music and photos available online, I don't even miss my micro SD card. My only real worry is whether I will run out of battery when out and about. Since the phone sits on a charger at night at home, and next to my desk at the office, normal daily use won't be a problem. However the days of being able to swap batteries over a weekend are over. Is the speed and screen size worth it? So far, I have to say yes, emphatically. Color me converted.
If you don't mind carrying an extra internal battery, why don't you carry an extra external battery? Many are quite small.
