ASUS' ZenBook 3 is thinner, lighter and faster than the MacBook. ASUS has announced a new ultrabook that only weighs 2 pounds, is 12.9 mm thin, and can be configured with a Core I7, a 1 Terabyte SSD, and 16 GB of RAM. Insane specs, in a thin, light body. Of course, that configuration will probably cost close to $2,000. I am perfectly happy with my Samsung Spin, which has 4 GB of RAM, a Core I7, 256 GB SSD, and weighs 2.9 pounds. I am suspicious of how comfortable the keyboard can be in such a thin device; but, there is no question that the battle for thinnest, lightest most powerful is on.
