Memorial Day - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. You may have the day off tomorrow. You may relax and enjoy yourself. But, take some time for somber reflection on the sacrifice made by men and women who died while serving their country in the military. That is what the day is for. This is Martin Mahlon Georges, my father, who died while serving in the Army Air Corps, in a training plane crash in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when I was 5 years old. I have flashes of memory of him; but, no more than that. His sacrifice impacted many lives, and there are millions like him. Say a prayer for them tomorrow.
