What If We All Buried Our Heads In Books?

This photograph posted by Michael Wade, at Execupundit, got me thinking. First, do these people look like modern folks with their heads buried in Smartphones? Next, I suspect that there weren't many 1937 Londoners walking down the street with their heads buried in a book, looking for fictional fantasy animals. Third, carrying all those books around must have been a real chore. Oh well. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
