Execupundit.com: The Unsaid and The Yet to Be Said. I hate meetings. Of course, client conferences aren't meetings; they involve fact finding, instruction, strategy, emotions, and other things. I am talking about the typical meeting to discuss a group issue. In BigLaw, such meetings might be about partner compensation, purchase of new technology or equipment, hiring and firing decisions, and any one of a number of other issues. As Execupundit stresses here, there are different Levels of meetings. What is said. What is not said. What is yet to be said. I would add what is never said to the list; because, for a variety of reasons, some members are afraid or reluctant to say anything. So, they never say what needs to be said. How much better to be a solo, and say whatever I need to say to myself; always a willing listener.
