Disable Customer Experience Improvement Program in Microsoft Windows. We have enough intrusions into our workday already, Microsoft. I really don't want to help you improve your products, unless you are paying me to do it, or you are not spying on me. What we do on the computer, and how we do it, should remain private, unless we choose to send the information; or, unless Microsoft wants to pay us as employees. How about it, Microsoft? Will I get a paycheck? Didn't think so. If you don't want to participate in the "Microsoft Customer Experience Program", let the company know.

Apple Macbook Pros have embraced USB-C and Thunderbolt 3, but at what cost? - CNET. First, it was the audio jack that Apple took away. Now, Apple is going all in on the USB-C connection standard. While I have gotten used to USB-C on my Nexus 6P, I am still having to use adapters and dongles to connect my chargers, and I don't know what I would do without an audio jack on my phone. Am I the only one who feels like Apple is taking away my options, and dragging me, kicking and screaming, into the future? Slow down, Apple. Give us choices.

A new agreement between the newly independent PayPal will allow PayPal to be used for money transfers in Facebook Messenger. I use digital signatures every day for pleadings that I efile in courts throughout the State of Florida. However, I have created a handwritten digital signature for times when I want the signature to look like, well, a signature. Ernie will also tell you that you don't need a $300 copy of Adobe Acrobat to create and use these things. I use Nuance's quite competent PDF software, Power PDF Advanced 2.0, for all of my document needs. It can be purchased for around $100. Android Pay? Don't Unlock Your Bootloader

Android Pay no longer works if you unlock your bootloader, and that's a good thing | Android Central. A long time ago, in a Galaxy far, far away, I had a lot of fun unlocking my Android phones, rooting them, and installing all sorts of cool software. However, when I grew up to be a man, I cast aside childish things, and I realized that I was more concerned about device security than I was digging into Google's software. So, this author is correct when he advises that it is the right thing to do for Google to disable Android Pay on rooted and unlocked phones. By definition, these phones are less secure, and your debit and credit card information needs to be locked up tight. So, I am enjoying the backup features of having all my cards available on my phone, which itself is secured by two step authentication and a pattern lock. Be careful out there.
