NCIS: Gibbs' Rules - NCIS. Gibbs doesn't like lawyers; well, maybe a couple of them. Thankfully, Rule 13 is more honored in the breach, than in the observance. As Rules to live by, you could do worse than Gibbs' Rules. For instance, Rule 11: "When the job is done, walk away". This one can be applied to the lawyer who keeps talking after the Judge rules in his favor, or after the witness says what he wants to hear. Shut up, and move on. Or Rule 18, which has informed much of FutureLawyer's life: "It is better to ask forgiveness, than permission". My final favorite is Rule 45: "Clean up your messes". This one can be applied in many ways; but, they all involve taking responsibility for your own problems. Now, get out there and create your own rules.
