Well, I am now official. The Com Badge has arrived and is charging. It uses the latest version of Bluetooth 4.1, and will take and make phone calls when connected to a Smartphone. This is an example of life imitating art. Bluetooth was a pipe dream in the Sixties when the writers of Star Trek conceived of wireless communication, first with the Communicator, and then with the Com Badge. Now, I just have to live long enough to have a transporter in the house.
