Perry Mason Video - The Case of the Lonely Eloper - CBS.com. CBS is charging Six bucks a month for an All Access subscription, and I am gladly paying it. Where else can you watch every episode of Perry Mason from 1957 to 1965? I will bet that every lawyer who grew up in the Fifties and Sixties will tell you that his love of the law began with this series. While some of the tactics used by the character would have a modern lawyer in trouble with the Bar or the police, the plot twists and turns were fun to watch. Unfortunately, some people grew up with the mistaken idea that every trial ended in the guilty party admitting the deed in open court. What a let down when jurors realize that most trials are boring and without excitement. Oh well. I am enjoying the blasts from the past. You can try CBS All Access for 30 days with a free trial.

We geeks are used to getting tech for xmas from our significant others. SWMBO has gotten better at it over the years. At least she buys stuff I refer to on the blog now. But, all of us have had the experience of getting old tech, or useless tech. What to do? I have no clue. I have a room full of old tech at my house. Anybody want some?

Let Me Run Something By You

Execupundit.com: Running It By. Execupundit nails it when he opines about clients calling often and saying something to the effect of: "Let me run something by you". As a consultant, he gets such inquiries often, and his opinion matters. However, when a client or prospective client says it to me, it carries much more responsibility on my part. Once I venture an opinion, I am bound by it, and, unless I make clear that it is just a judgment call, I can be held liable if the client follows my advice. Call it a lawyer imprimatur, or stamp of approval; especially if the client is just seeking confirmation of something she already has decided. So, please excuse your lawyer for seeming non-committal if you ask such a question. I have toyed with the idea of putting crystal ball on my desk, and asking such clients to wave their hand over it. Such an action is just as likely to predict the future as anything I might say. Oh well. I guess this is the business we have chosen. 

Samsung Upgrading VR To Be Similar To HoloLens

Samsung Working on New Gear VR and Device Similar to HoloLens | Droid Life. While I have enjoyed both iterations of the Samsung Gear VR glasses, and have even kept my Galaxy Note 5 to serve as dedicated VR device, I have loved the demo of the Oculus VR glasses. However, the necessity to be tethered to a high end desktop computer has priced them out of reach for most of us. So, when I heard that Samsung will be combining the VR space with glasses that have Hololens capabilities, I was anxious to see them in action. So, the next year will be spent waiting and wondering what Samsung has up its sleeve. VR is in its infancy, and you will want to be there when it arrives.

The universal themes it explores can be instructive and inspirational to each of us. Some Christmas themes are timeless. This is one of them.

LG G5 And LG Watch Urbane LTE - Match Made In Heaven

LG G5 - 32 GB - Titanium Gray - AT&T - GSM. I recently purchased an LG G5 to serve as my second phone, and I realized that I had an LG Watch Urbane LTE sitting in my watch box that wasn't being used. Since I want to get familiar again with Android Wear in advance of the big update to Version 2.0 next year, I am spending a holiday morning pairing the phone and watch. Hey, geeks know how to have fun. Now, am I geeky enough to carry two phones and wear a SmartWatch on each wrist in public? How about for Xmas dinner this afternoon at my mother in law's house? She thinks I am crazy, anyway. Oh well. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Google And Its New Smart Watches

Android Wear 2.0 Smart Watches from Google: Coming Soon - 1redDrop. Google is really getting into hardware, and in the first quarter of 2017 is coming out with two new Smart Watches, sporting the next version of Android Wear, 2.0. With LTE support, the watches fit FutureLawyer's minimum specs rule, and I might add one to my collection. While I love the rotating bezel and ease of use of Tizen on my Gear S3, I have several Android Wear Smart Watches that I would love to check out when the new version of Android Wear is available.
