When I get angry, stressed, self-involved, worried about my problems and those of my loved ones, I like to use a Stoic exercise. It is pretty simple, really. Just project your mind into the cosmos and look back at the earth and your place on it. This little video, narrated by Carl Sagan, is a great way to imagine the exercise.
