LG V20 - You Don't Have To Pay $1,000 For A Great Smartphone

LG V20 review | TechRadar. What if you could get a phone that works as well or better than an iPhone X or a Note 8 or one of the new $1,000 Smartphones? Well, I bought SWMBO a Note 8 because she loves using a stylus; but, for my own use, I like to find Smartphones the way I find cars. Not the latest; but, with features and qualities that make them beautiful. I got the V20 for several reasons; primarily, because I liked the G5, its predecessor so much. However, the V20 has a removable battery, unlike the $1,000 phones. It has a headphone jack,  unlike the iPhone X or any newer iPhone. It runs a stable version of Android, Nougat, 7.0. It has a wide angle selfie camera; albeit, not the best camera in the world. The sound is audiophile grade. The screen is the perfect size at 5.7 inches. It is thin and light. But, best of all, since the V30 is on the way, this phone, introduced in October of last year, can be purchased unlocked for $329. Yes, you read that right. If you are paying $1,000 for a Smartphone, you need to have your head examined. (Unless, of course, you are buying it for someone you love).:-)

Will they make you choose? Is Google violating its own policy when it pulls YouTube from the Echo Show? Is Amazon violating Google's terms of service in its use of YouTube on the Show? Can't we all just get along? Jeez.

GOLE1 Mini PC - A Windows 10 Computer In Your Pocket

My Gole1 Mini PC was delivered this afternoon, and I have connected it to my monitor and USB peripherals and am updating and installing software and data as we speak. In fact, I installed Chrome and am doing this post on the little gem. I have attached a photo of the device in my hand for scale, and a photo of the monitor after being connected with a standard HDMI cable. Amazing. This thing has an Ethernet port, 3 USB 2.0 ports, and a USB 3.0 port. It has a micro SD slot and is quick as a bunny. $146 total cost, and it literally will fit in a pocket. It even has a touch screen; although, I think that using such a tiny screen for Windows might be problematic. FutureLawyer buys and tests the latest gadgets just for you. Or, maybe I just love playing with them. You decide.

Chrome OS Lock Screen Note Taking - Another First For Google Keep

Chrome OS Lock Screen Note Taking Coming Soon, First with Google Keep. I use Google Keep for note taking for many reasons. It is easy, free, and compatible with all my Google apps. I have an extension in Google Chrome that allows me to click and save any website, content, text, photo, or whatever. Soon, for those of you who use a stylus and Chrome OS, you will be able to make and save notes from the lock screen. Just click and draw or write on the screen and you can save your thoughts wherever, whenever. I prefer typing since my writing isn't the best. I do, however, enjoy taking notes on paper with my Echo Smart Pen. They are preserved in digital form by connecting to the Livescribe app on my computer. If you are comfortable writing with a stylus on a tablet or computer screen, however, watch out for the Google Keep integration. 

SpaceX's Interplanetary Spaceship - Mankind Will Go To Mars

SpaceX's Interplanetary Spaceship and Rocket simulation is out of this world. Will Elon Musk, or his heirs, take man to Mars? This simulation provides a simulation of how it will work. I don't know about you; but, there are some people I would like to send to Mars. Of course, we will likely all be dead by the time it happens. But, failing the end of the world, it will happen. And, we can build it. We have the technology. I suspect, however, that it will cost a lot more than it cost to create the Six Million Dollar man.
