The LG V30 has an amazing camera, but it won't make you a great photographer | Android Central. This article about the amazing advances in Smartphone cameras exposes one of my pet peeves. Just because you have a great camera doesn't make you a great photographer. Photography is mostly between your ears. Learn about how to take a great picture BEFORE you go out and buy a camera. Learn how to frame a subject, learn the rule of thirds, learn about exposure compensation, and a host of other essential bits of knowledge before you call yourself a photographer. Yes, modern Smartphones are capable of great images. But, they are only tools. Use your brain, learn the craft, and someday, maybe, you can call yourself a photographer. Jeez.
Not to mention that most serious photographers still prefer to use a camera.

Are you serious? :-)
Most photographers who are professionals may use big, bulky single lens reflex cameras because they can use long lenses; but, I long ago put the SLRs away and use the camera I always have with me. The one you have in your hand is always the best camera anyway. The quality of the photo is between your ears, and in your brain. Learn the ropes, grasshopper, and nobody will know what kind of camera you used.
