LiveScribe 3 And OneNote A reader has asked how I am using the LiveScribe 3 with OneNote, and what paper format I am using. First, as to paper. I use the A5 format paper notebooks, which are 5 by 8 inches in size for daily calendar and journal notes. I don't print LiveScribe pages, as the notebooks LiveScribe sells are really inexpensive. I already have enough notebooks in stock to last me years. They aren't much more expensive than my old yellow pads. The A5 format is perfect for the folio that has a holder for the SmarPen in it. I have two separate notepads available, which I have purchased leather covers for; one, for carrying around, and taking notes during meetings and client conferences, and one to carry with me when out and about. I also have some spiral bound 8 1/2 by 11 notebooks; but, seldom use them. I have linked here to the OneNote instruction page, which I use to archive my notebooks. Once signed in to OneNote, it is a simple matter to pick and choose LiveScribe pages and sync them to OneNote, where they are accessible in the OneNote app. The company says that real time syncing is coming; but, for now, you have to pick pages and tell LiveScribe app to send the pages to OneNote. I don't yet use LiveScribe to keep a daily journal of my thoughts and feelings, as the Stoics tell us; but, that is a New Year's Resolution to come. I just don't know what year that will be, ha,ha. The system is really able to be used and tuned to the particular user's preferences. The key here is that you can keep a digital record of whatever you choose to write down. This simple $170 tech purchase is one of the most valuable I have made. I am sure we can all remember wasting more than than much of some pretty useless tech. Write on.
