Samsung Gear S3 update helps fix battery drain | AndroidAuthority. I am pleased to report that Google has fixed the notification problem in Android Wear devices. I am also pleased to report that the battery life of my Gear S3 is now also much improved. Samsung has released an update that allows me to wear my phone enabled Gear S3 without worrying that it will die in the evening. I prefer the Gear interface to Android Wear; but, I want both to work as I go back and forth between watches. Isn't choice a great thing?
