When I started law school in 1969, I needed a car. I had little or no money. $50 a month was at the outside of my monthly car payment window. I was working part-time as a law clerk for $2.00 an hour. My rent was $85 a month. So, when I went looking for a car I was attracted by the Renault R10 which was a 4 door sedan VW knockoff with some boxy looks. I wish I could say that I was the confident, intelligent male portrayed in this ad. But, I was just a young kid with no money and big dreams. What was your first new car?
