Nubia Alpha - The Wrist Phones Are Coming

[MWC 2019] The nubia Alpha is a wearable phone for your wrist. Ever since flexible screens became feasible, it was only a matter of time until developers and manufacturers found a way to wrap them around body appendages. The wrist phone from Nubia will likely be available by the end of the year, and it looks interesting. Any new gadget must, in the FutureLawyer's opinion, reduce the tech load on the user. For wearables, that means that the new tech must combine functions in such a way as to reduce the number or weight of the devices, without reducing practicality or functionality. The wrist phone looks like it will eliminate the need for a handheld phone, with the possible exception of screen size. Will a 4 inch screen be able to handle text, email, and video feeds without seeming too tiny? This remains to be seen. But, not having to lug around a phone has its appeal. This is the major reason I like LTE smartwatches. I often, during the day, leave the phone charging on the desk, and get notifications on my Galaxy Watch through its phone chip, independently of the phone. What's on your wrist?

What Flavor Do You Want? Office 365 Or Microsoft Office?

What is the difference between Microsoft Office and Office 365?. I have an annual Office 365 subscription for my family. Each of us has access to all of the Office products for $99 a year, and, they all update themselves automatically. However, this flavor of Windows isn't for everyone. If you are a single user, and want software that you can use forever without subscription costs; then, Microsoft Office is for you. Frankly, as a WordPerfect user, I don't care what you use. I consider my family's use of Word to be a personal failure. But, alas, many of my legal counterparts also use Word, so I have to live in the jungle with them. What's in your computer?

Verizon Readies 60-Day Phone Lock Policy We Outed Last Year (Updated) %u2013 Droid Life. In case you needed more proof that Verizon is a horrible mobile carrier, I give you this story which confirms that Verizon intends to SIM lock its phones for 60 days after purchase. The biggest load of crap is that they are trying to sell it as a way to "protect" their customers from theft. Hey, Verizon, if you are having that much trouble to keep from bleeding customers, how about charging reasonable prices, stop lying to users, and concentrate on customer service? While you're at it, you could return the $1,100 you overcharged me when I left. Jeez.

Whether you are going to another County in your State, or traveling to another State, modern technology allows you to be a lawyer wherever you are. Most lawyers these days have documents, software and other data stored in the Cloud, and many use cloud based computer applications for document creation, storage, filing and other uses. Most modern cloud based applications provide military grade security on their servers, and require two step authentication for access to the data. But, often, lawyers don't think about the data as it resides on their computers, and then travels in the clear to the destination. Encryption is a good way to secure data on its way. However, many lawyers, and others, use Public WiFi, when spoofing hotspots, and actual stealing of data over the Public WiFi, is common. Public WiFi hotspots are often unprotected. It is up to the user to secure the data as it travels. Use a phone as a hotspot. Bring a dedicated hotspot that connects to your carrier. Make sure your anti-virus is a good one, and gives real-time protection. Don't share your location online.Update your passwords. Use two step authentication. Be careful out there.
