I learn something new every day. I had mixed results with the DeX docks I got from Samsung in the past, and never got them to work properly. They were supposed to turn the Smartphone into a hub for a desktop computing experience. Add a bluetooth mouse and keyboard, and you could plug in to any HDMI port on a big TV or monitor. Then, while fooling around on gadget Saturday this morning, I found an article that claimed the Galaxy Note 9 had DeX software and hardward built in. Just plug a USB-C to HDMI adapter into the phone and a big screen TV, and, voila, the Note 9 became the hub for a desktop computer. In addition, the Note 9 becomes a touchpad to control the big screen. Add a bluetooth keyboard, and you are in business. Here is a photo of my screen after plugging in the Note 9. Very cool.
