I prefer to carry them around in their original state; but, this exposes them to my klutzy carrying habits, and I have dropped them in toilets, lakes, on concrete, run them over with my car after I dropped them on the parking lot pavement...you get the picture. The Note 9 that I have carried for the past year is a survivor, however. I have dropped it several times and it has survived without a scratch. This beautiful slab of glass and metal turns out to be much more durable than some of its plastic competitors. I carry it in a case on my belt, geeky as that is; because I believe that most serious damage to modern phones is done to phones put in the back jeans pockets of teenagers.
