Google Assistant is 10x faster and knows where your mom lives - CNET. As time has passed, Google keeps making voice control more natural and much faster. Giving commands is almost like a natural conversation, and, with the change to "Hey, Google", it is much easier to voice control your device. Driving is the best, as my cars and stereo systems are now bluetooth enabled, and automatically take over when I get in the cars. "Hey, Google", play some Beach Boys. Hey, Google! What was the score of the Rays game last night? The best part is that I don't even have to think about earphones anymore. The phone automatically transfers over to my Bose Smartglasses when I get out of the car. Meggie Hollenger, of Google, describes the effect this way: "Hey, Google!"

Then, I read an article like this one, in which Susan Gilman describes how her father's Judgeship was taken away by politicians and his own hubris and unwillingness to play the political game, and I realize that there is so much more to life than achievements that other people think they want. Be careful what you wish for. I have a life. I am not ready to give it up.

But, do I need another tablet? It will likely cost upwards of $700 for the LTE version. LTE is a no brainer for a tablet that you carry around everywhere. With spotty and insecure WiFi, you really need a reliable Internet gateway. However, even though my S2 is 4 years old, and runs Android 7.0, it only weighs about 13 ounces. For a device you hold in your hands for a long time, weight is very important. The new tablet is about the same weight, at 400 grams; althouigh, thinner. You can buy an S2, with LTE, for around $300 nowadays. Want a tablet? The latest may not be the greatest.
